Definition

Average monthly sales value weighted by the DNV/DVV ratio

Calculation

The interpretation of adjusted monthly average sales based on distributions below 5% should be taken with caution.

It would be incorrect :

  • to sum the AMS of several references, as it is possible (and highly probable) that the same pharmacy sells several products in the scope under consideration, not relating to the duplication of referencing.

  • averaging the MSAs of several references, as this is not representative.

Terminology

The indicator "Average Monthly Sales Value Adjusted" (AMS CA A) can be translated into English as "Adjusted Average Monthly Sales Turnover" (AMS To A).

Interpretation of the indicator for Monaco studied individually (not aggregated with other territories) :

  • Given the disparity of pharmacies in this territory, care should be taken when interpreting the indicator when studying this territory alone
