Definition

For a reference, the weighted average price modelises the theoretical price of this reference for an average point of sale.

It is volume-weighted, resulting in the name weighted average sales price. Thus, large manufacturers mechanically pull the weighted average price towards their own prices.

Calculation

WASP = [Value sales] / [Volume sales].

Example

OpenHealth can calculate prices in several ways: per decile or per median price.
