Definition
For a given product, the average sales are the average volume sales calculated on the selling pharmacies.
Calculation
Average sales = Sales volumes / number of pharmacies sold
The interpretation of monthly average sales based on a distribution of less than 5% should be taken with caution.
Point of attention
Unlike monthly average sales, which are reduced to an average month, average sales are not averaged by month. So if I calculate a 12 month average sale, I am actually visualizing an average annual sale
Terminology
The average sales indicator (VM) can be translated into English as average sales (AS).
