At the end of each month, pharmacies having kept in their inventory at least 1 reference of the studied market are considered as stockists. The number of stockist pharmacies is the sum of the number of these stockist pharmacies.

Number of stockist pharmacies = sum of stockist pharmacies

3 pharmacies sold product A during the month. At the end of the month, 2 pharmacies still have stock. In this example we have 3 selling pharmacies, but only 2 stockist pharmacies.

It may be interesting to compare the number of pharmacies selling with the number of stockist pharmacies.

The number of stockist pharmacies can be translated into English as Number of pharmacies with stock.
