Definition

Quantity sales are the sum of the volume sales of pharmacies or GSA's Paras over a given period. Unless contraindicated, this data is consumer units.

The notion of consumer unit means that a batch of 2 products is counted as 1 unit, because the consumer makes 1 purchase.

Tips

The "Volume" indicator counts batches and boxes in the same way. Thus, a pack of 2 boxes is counted as 1, as opposed to counting in converted units, which will count as 2.

Terminology

The Quantity Sales indicator is the French translation of "Volume" or "Vol in CU" (Consumer Unit).
