Definition

The volume in average UC per insured person expresses the average volume dispensed to each insured person. This indicator is part of a longitudinal monitoring.

Example

Let us take the example of a box containing 30 capsules (BU or base units) each containing 50 milligrams of the active principle PA, for which 1,000 UA of this product has been dispensed. over a period for a separate number of 500 social security insured.
The average volume in UA per insured person is:
Sales volume in UA / Separate number of social insured
Either: 1,000 UA dispensed / 500 social insured = 2 UA dispensed on average per social insured.

The indicator volume in average UA per insured person can be translated into English as "Volume in consumer units per insured person".

Limitation

This indicator is only available for pharmacies data and only for drugs.
