Definition

Average volume per dispensation is the total volume of sales (in boxes) over the total number of dispensations.

Example

For a given product, if one dispensation is issued with 2 boxes and 1 other dispensation with 3 boxes, then we have 5 boxes of the product for 2 dispensations.
Average volume per dispensation = 5 boxes / 2 dispensations = 2.50
