Definition

The global SMKT selling digital distribution is an indicator close to the digital distribution selling SMKT but calculated differently over time periods greater than one month.

Calculation

Week:

  • DNV SMKT Global = DNV SMKT

Month:

  • DNV SMKT Global = DNV SMKT

Quarter:

  • DNV SMKT = average (DNV month 1; DNV month 2; DNV month 3)

  • DNV SMKT Global = Number of GSA drugstores selling / Total number of GSA drugstores

Year:

  • DNV SMKT = average (DNV month 1;…; DNV month 12)

  • DNV SMKT Global = Number of separate GSA drugstores selling over the period studied / Total number of separate GSA drugstores over the period studied

The interpretation of a distribution less than 5% should be taken with caution.

Aggregation on several products

Historically, global DNVs and global DVVs were normally calculated on products, but the “company”, “brand” and “segment” are the MAX of the global DNVs and overall product DVVs.

We recommend the new version (called ' recalculated '), for which this aggregation is not done by a MAX but by recalculating the indicator on the selection of products.

Terminology

The Global SMKT Selling Digital Distribution can be written as "DNV SMKT Global"

It is translated into English as "Global Numeric Distribution SMKT" or "Global ND SMKT".
