Definition

For a given product, the number of dispensations not presented for reimbursement is the number of times the product has been dispensed in a pharmacy, with a share of the remainder payable by the patient 100%.

Concretely, this is the number of times the product line appeared on a pharmacy receipt, without reimbursement or compulsory or additional health insurance.

Example

If a product is dispensed 200 times, of which 40 times with a 100% share of the patient's responsibility, then the number of dispensations not presented for reimbursement is 40, whatever the sales volumes.

Tip

The number of dispensations differs from volume sales in the sense that the dispensations count the acts of delivery and not the number of boxes delivered.

Terminology

The number of dispensations not presented for reimbursement can be translated into English as Number of dispensations not reimbursed.
