Definition

For a given product, the average periodic sales are the average periodic volume sales calculated on the selling parapharmacies.

Calculation

Average periodic sales * = periodic average * of sales volume of drugstores sold.
The interpretation of periodic average sales based on a distribution of less than 5% should be taken with caution.

Tip

Keep in mind: turnover = average periodic sales * number of drugstores selling * weighted average price.

Terminology

The monthly average sales (VMM) indicator can be translated into English as average monthly sales (AMS).

Point of attention

In SMKT the indicator noted AMS goes up the average periodic sales according to the SMKT periods (Example: SMKT week, SMKT period)
