Definition

Product mix attrition represents the total number of inactive products (GTINs) (with no sales in the period)

Example

For a market consisting of 2,000 products, of which 200 products have no sales over your analysis period, then these 200 products are considered inactive and represent the attrition of the assortment available in the outlets.

Terminology

The assortment attrition indicator can be translated into English as "Churn assortment" or CPA.

Product mix attrition can also be studied in value or volume sales, to measure the impact of inactive products on sales.
