Definition

Suspended solids (or TSS) (or suspended particulate matter) refers to insoluble solids visible to the naked eye that are suspended in a liquid. Total suspended solids (TSS) is a measure of suspended solids.

A sub-part of TSS is SVD. It corresponds to the dry volatile matter.

The concentration at the end of the treatment process must be less than 35 mg/L.
